Hi, I'm Savannah!

Hi there! I’m Savannah, and I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. In 2023, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology, which has really helped me understand people and their emotions on a deeper level. I’ve blended that knowledge with my passion for photography to create something truly special.

While I put a strong emphasis on capturing couples, I also specialize in photographing families, children, graduations, and pretty much everything in between. My goal is to showcase genuine moments and those sweet, intimate interactions that reveal true connections with my couples.

Creating a welcoming and relaxed environment during my sessions is really important to me. I believe that the best photos come when people are truly themselves, so I do everything I can to make my clients feel comfortable and at ease. This way, they can share their stories naturally, and I can capture their authentic moments.

My background in psychology helps me make sure my subjects feel seen and understood. I’m passionate about preserving memories and telling stories through my lens. I’m always exploring new perspectives and techniques to ensure my photos are timeless treasures that my clients will cherish forever.

How Did We Get Here?

I've always had a passion for photography, but everything changed during my senior year of college at a little hometown bar. Long story short, a sweet couple got my roommate and I out of an uncomfortable situation and their simple act of kindness sparked a life-changing friendship.

As we started chatting, I learned that the girl's name was Aimee, a professional wedding photographer with Our Third Grace, and her boyfriend was Christian Porter, a singer/singwriter. From that night on, Aimee became my mentor, big sister, and biggest supporter in my photography journey. Without her guidance and encouragement, I wouldn't be where I am today.

My business, Savannah Marie Light & Lens, originally started as In Clover Photography. Over the past year, I've truly found my voice and vision in photography, and I felt it was time for a change that reflected my growth. So here we are, in this exciting new chapter, and I am so grateful to have you as part of it.

I am thrilled to continue pursuing my passion and doing what I love, capturing the beautiful moments that tell your unique stories.
